Culinary history in the museum
Built in 1916 in the style of a Neoclassical banquet hall, the Meissen Porcelain Foundation Museum is home to a vast collection of Meissen porcelain from the manufactory’s over 300 years of history. The diversity of styles and approaches that have grown over the centuries is an expression of a way of life – an appreciation for craftsmanship and tradition. From gourmet evenings and Gatsby galas all the way to employee celebrations and wedding receptions – surrounded by historic porcelain masterpieces, the museum’s exhibition hall is an elegant venue for private events of up to 130 people. In order to meet the needs of a variety of celebrations and event concepts, Meissen offers a hire service for tableware from different eras in a variety of shapes and styles.
